OB OVERVIEW

Under the general guidance of the Outlet General Manager, the Server Assistant is responsible for supporting Head Servers and Servers by keeping the dining area clean , stocked and running smoothly, so guests .

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clear and reset tables by removing used plates, glassware, and utensils, then wiping and resetting with clean tableware and condiments.
  • Run food and beverages from the kitchen or bar to guests' tables, ensuring items go to the correct guests.
  • Refill water and other non-alcoholic beverages and assist with bread or complimentary items as directed by the server.
  • Guest support
  • Greet guests warmly when appropriate and respond to simple requests, such as extra napkins, cutlery, or condiments.
  • Alert the server or a supervisor promptly if guests express complaints or special concerns.
  • Station and cleanliness duties
  • Keep server stations stocked with plates, glassware, cutlery, napkins, and other service items to support fast, efficient service.
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks such as polishing glassware and silverware, removing trash, and following opening/closing side work checklists.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, carry multiple items, and stay organized during busy service.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a professional, guest-focused attitude
  • Monitor guest satisfaction, respond to requests, and handle basic complaints or issues professionally.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of  service areas, including clearing dishes, wiping/disinfecting  tables.
  • Set up, restock, and break down service stations, including napkins, menus, condiments, and service supplies.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outdoor environment and work well in a team.
  • Physically able to carry trays, walk on sand and wet surfaces, and lift around 20-25 lbs as needed.

Requires flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and peak seasons or resort high periods.

  • We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. 
  • We will on occasion call for each individual on the team to perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
