JOB SUMMARY


The Head Server is the lead person on waiting on members and delivering their food. They are dedicated to exceptional customer service and are the prime staff person in coordinating others on staff to insure that patrons walk away completely satisfied with their experience.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Serve food in the proper sequence and that all patrons receive the proper food in a timely fashion.
  • Makes sure that the kitchen staff is producing the food according to specifications.
  • Takes orders and makes sure that all customers are serviced and that additional items are ordered
  • Responsible for keeping the restaurant tables bussed and cleaned
  • Responsible for following Health Department standards and requirements
  • Make sure all patrons have everything that they need for a great dining experience
  • Serves as the main customer service contact for members at the restaurant, including: answering questions, welcoming, and other member communications
  • Responsible for making sure that all opening and closing duties are performed by both the kitchen staff as well as the bar staff.
  • Follows daily and weekly duties
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all menu items
  • Responsible for making sure that all POS stations are reconciled
  • Maintains professionalism when not assisting customers.
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be highly motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well groomed and professional in appearance
  • An understanding of food and beverage operations
  • Must be a team player, willing to cover or trade shifts when necessary


REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Experience in food and beverage service is preferred, but not necessary
  • Experience in a health club or the hospitability industry is preferred, but not necessary
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
