The main difference between a Head Rabbi and an Assistant Rabbi lies in their responsibilities and seniority. The Head Rabbi leads the congregation, makes major community decisions, and oversees religious services, while the Assistant Rabbi supports these activities and assists the Head Rabbi. Both roles require rabbinical ordination and involve working within synagogues or Jewish organizations, but the Head Rabbi holds a more senior leadership position.
