Description:

Perched on our second floor circular balcony—surrounding a massive stone chimney—the Rams Head Bar is the perfect location with stunning views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson.


Greet and seat guests in a timely fashion, knowledge of server’s ability to receive another table, assist and direct the flow of the Rams Head in order to provide outstanding guest service. Provide busser support for the service staff as well.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Greet & seat guests, inform guest of servers name, distribute menu and wine lists, pull out guest's chair when appropriate.
  • Possess complete knowledge of Rams Head operations.
  • Know and follow all Rams Head guidelines and policies set forth in training manual.
  • Follow OLCC and proper food handling guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Proper use of Rams Head Log Book.
  • Ensure Rams Head host stand is organized at end of each shift.
  • Ensure menus are clean and presentable.
  • Assist in maintaining service bar including but not limited to cleaning and stocking.
  • Provide a smooth flow in Rams Head by proper and timely seating of guests, being aware of Server’s ability to receive another table, communicating with Servers and Bussers.
  • Provide quality bussing service as needed.
  • Help ensure prompt, efficient service that meets or exceeds our high customer service standards.
  • Communicate employee issues, guest issues and day-to-day information with Rams Head Manager, other Hosts and F&B Director.
  • Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
  • Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
  • Present a professional, quality image at all times.
  • Exercising sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.


Requirements:
  • Must have service oriented personality.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to set and meet high customer service standards.
  • Must use proper etiquette while conversing with guests.
  • Must have detailed knowledge of all buffet menu offerings.
  • Must be proficient in up-selling products and services.
  • Must know and follow all proper service procedures.

  • Must have valid OLCC and Oregon Food Handlers permits.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
  • Must be able to work in tight space with balance and poise.
  • Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hrs at a time.
  • Must be able to keep up with the pace of the department demands of the position.
