As Head of User Experience (UX) at Wynn, you will be responsible for defining and driving the overall user experience strategy and vision for our company. You will lead and manage a team of UX designers to create innovative and engaging user experiences across our products and services. You will also be responsible for managing budgets and resources and communicating with stakeholders about the progress and impact of UX efforts.

Responsibilities

PEOPLE:

  • Recruit, hire, and train UX designers to ensure that the team has the skills and expertise necessary to deliver best-in-class user experiences.
  • Define roles and responsibilities of each team member to ensure that everyone knows what is expected of them.
  • Set goals and objectives for the team that align with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Assign projects and tasks to team members based on their skills, experience, and workload.
  • Manage and oversee all research and design efforts to understand guest needs, preferences, and pain points, and use this information to inform UX decisions.
  • Create a collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance evaluations to assess team members' strengths and weaknesses and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Mentor team members to help them achieve their goals and advance in their careers.

PROCESS:

  • Define and drive the overall user experience strategy for the company.
  • Manage team workflow to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Create storyboards to define the UX vision and help visualize UX ideas.
  • Use data and metrics to inform UX decisions and track the success of the user experience.
  • Stay up to date with the latest UX trends, tools, and technologies and make recommendations for their use within the company.
  • Share expertise on best-practice digital UI patterns and trends, and effectively communicating design rationale throughout the project.
  • Plan and facilitate Design Thinking practices with teams and stakeholders.
  • Evangelize user experience and educate the company on its importance in the overall success of the business.
  • Present information to senior staff and provide strategy recommendations based on the team’s analysis.

PRODUCT:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive user experience strategy for all customer-facing digital products, such as the Wynn websites, mobile app, in-room tablets, kiosks, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Establish and maintain design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in the user experience.
  • Define and optimize the guest journey across all digital touchpoints, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for personalization and customization of the guest experience.
  • Monitor and analyze guest feedback and usage data to continuously improve the user experience and increase guest satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation in the user experience to keep the company ahead of its competitors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX design, HCI, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in UX design and strategy.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Deep knowledge of UX design principles and practices, including user research, interaction design, and usability testing.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute on tactical deliverables.
  • Experience in B2B and B2C industries is a plus.
  • Experience in hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful user experiences.
  • A passion for user-centered design and a desire to create innovative and engaging experiences.
