Job description

Overview

The primary purpose of the AVP, Treasury Operations - LATAM is to lead the development, oversight, and management of Treasury Operations across the Latin America region, covering all business segments. This position is responsible for providing strategic direction for regional treasury activities, while coordinating key treasury deliverables and ensuring effective execution across the LatAm footprint.  This role will provide formal updates to the Latin America CFO and serve as the regional point of contact for local Treasury teams.

A core aspect of the role is to identify and drive value-enhancing opportunities through standardized processes, system improvements, and implementation initiatives, as well as to strengthen bank relationships and cash management structures to improve liquidity. 

The role will assess and recommend the most effective treasury operating model for the region, ensuring compliance with local country regulations and restrictions. In addition, it will support the business through innovative digital and real-time payment and collection solutions, aligned with best practice and core treasury infrastructure, and contribute to dividend strategy and liquidity management through a strong understanding of capital requirements across the region's legal entities.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Global Treasury Operations, Americas to consider the optimal Treasury structure for the region
  • Provide regular reporting and support to the Latin America CFO
  • Drive the delivery of Treasury strategy and policy & also support other business strategic initiatives
  • Influence and lead internal business partners to allow us to deliver payment/collection solutions in line with our Treasury infrastructure and strategy
  • Provide Leadership to and support to Treasury transformation projects (TTP)
  • Drive initiatives to innovate payment and cash management practices. Maintain awareness of banks' advances in technology and other Treasury related technical advances
  • Review the existing support of the offshore Treasury team and enhance / add to the existing delivery model
  • Oversee all existing Treasury Operations related reporting and deliverables relating to banking, cash and liquidity etc.
  • Assume primary contact role for regional bank relationships
  • Oversight of regional capital adequacy, dividend strategy and liquidity management
  • Ensure local teams are adhering to global FX policies and strategies

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking is required
  • CTP preferred
  • Extensive Treasury Operations experience within a Multi-national Corporate to a Senior level
  • Ability to travel to Chubb offices within LatAm
  • Experience of Trax and/or Quantum an advantage
