Head Lifeguard

As head lifeguard, oversees the accomplishment of work and evaluated pool operation efficiencies. Assists manager by insuring adequate staffing of operations with personnel and the safety of users. Directs lifeguards as required in the performance of their duties. Performs checks and makes adjustments in water quality levels and insures that the pump rooms are maintained and operational. As a head lifeguard, supports the management team in decision making and responding to concerns of guests and users. As a lifeguard, responsible for the life guarding of guests. Rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Coordinates and conducts aquatic swimming and water survival training. Attends and arranges for the conduct of aquatics and safety training. Maintains peak physical condition. Carries out work in accordance with policies, regulations, directives, and requirements. Exercises judgement on routine matters where discretion is permitted. Keeps manager informed of events or items of significance.
