Hillcrest Educational Centers, Inc. provides therapeutic treatment and special education to children and adolescents with unique behavioral, health, and learning needs throughout Berkshire County, Massachusetts, and the Northeast.
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead nursing services and medical programs across our residential campuses and Therapeutic Day Program.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor medical care of students and oversee medical clearance of new students; review charts for compliance with policies and timelines; give professional second opinion on all student medical needs.
  • Organize, manage and evaluate Nursing Services and Medical Programs at all HEC programs; approve campus nursing office schedules ensuring minimal overtime; allocate human, financial, and product resources to meet patient care needs; research, establish and implement best practice standards.
  • Responsible for staff nurse and head nurse hiring; monitor, evaluate and provide opportunities for RNs and LPNs to attend in-services and continuing education; ensure continued certification of staff.
  • Encourage staff developmentand teamwork; assure a competency program is in place for nurses; evaluate and improve services; design criteria based on job descriptions for each nursing role.
  • Recognize nursing staff for outstanding professional achievements in practice, education or community work.
  • Implement best practices and support continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.

Experience
  • Management experience required.
  • Residential treatment experience required.

Licensure
  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday.
  • Flexibility required.
  • Must be available by phone for administrative needs during off times.

Compensation
Starting at $100,000 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
