Job Summary:
1872 Consulting is seeking a Head of Distribution Intelligence to lead the design and delivery of impactful analytics that drive sales and marketing strategies. The role involves managing a sales enablement roadmap, establishing an analytics framework, and collaborating with various teams to create actionable visualizations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead the end-to-end management of a sales enablement roadmap, aligning priorities, conveying vision and articulating an end-state experience to key partners
โ€ข Serve as a player-coach who will help to define, refine and communicate the vision of the team to stakeholders and team members
โ€ข Establish the analytics framework for Distribution Intelligence and have the ability to map key stakeholder imperatives to analytic and visualization techniques
โ€ข Collaborate with Sales and Marketing associates to generate high value visualizations (e.g., dashboards) that they find actionable
โ€ข Effective Storytelling capabilities; coach the team in their the ability to translate analytics to insights help them effectively 'tell stories with the insights'
โ€ข Manage the design and implementation phases of our sales enablement platform followed by maintenance and growth of the platform over time
โ€ข Evolving and optimizing our client segmentation model and overseeing assimilation of various data sources
โ€ข Collaborate with technology teams to design an effective data architecture for the sales enablement platform and drive prioritization for the technology team
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics or finance preferred
โ€ข Minimum of 5+ years in a sales technology leadership role
โ€ข Minimum 5+ years of meaningful experience in a sales business domain
โ€ข Experience in the financial services industry, both asset management and wealth management are highly desired; a detailed understanding of the sales business process from lead generation, opportunity pipeline management, sales forecasting, territory loading and client servicing models
โ€ข A solid background in architecture design and technical integration of CRM platforms with marketing automation platforms โ€“ ideally salesforce.com
โ€ข A strong understanding of the sales CRM and technology landscape โ€“ ideally salesforce.com - best practices, data architecture design, implementation and integration; ability to leverage experience to deliver analytics and insights in support of growth
โ€ข Considerable experience working with large datasets from multiple sources, specifically with 3rd party data such as Brightscope, Client, Market Metrics, Discovery Database, RIA Database, and firm level reports
โ€ข Experience manipulating, exploring, analyzing, and visualizing data in Python, R, SAS, or a similar programming language
โ€ข Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar
โ€ข SQL and/or Alteryx experience with data sourcing and prepping
โ€ข Excel, PowerPoint, and/or other common project and business communication software
โ€ข Experience managing a team and a proven ability to effectively allocate resources. Demonstrated experience building diverse teams and in providing coaching and development.
โ€ข Ability to translate business needs and use cases into technical specs and functional requirements and ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical people. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to articulate and thoughtfully present to senior leaders of the firm.
โ€ข Proven ability to collaborate with partner business and technology teams while influencing decision-making, prioritization and timelines
โ€ข Project/program management experience including change management, training, and pre- and post-improvement metrics a plus
โ€ข Detail oriented, resilient and ability to persevere to solve data and analytical obstacles
โ€ข Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple competing priorities
