Our sonic drill heads run at 0 to150 HERTZ, drive oscillating forces up to 50,000 lbs, and are trusted across industries where accuracy and reliability are non‑negotiable.

About This Role
If the rig is the body, the drill head is the heart — the engineered powerhouse that makes a sonic rig truly sonic. The sonic drill head is the most advanced, costly, and performance‑critical component of the rig. The Drill Head Shop Technician specializes in the assembly, maintenance, and rebuilding of Terra Sonic’s proprietary sonic drill heads. You’ll work with high‑precision components to build world class products. Your work impacts drilling efficiency, accuracy, vibration control, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
• Build the Sonic Drill Head
• Assemble, test, and maintain high‑precision heads.
• Work with high‑RPM, high‑force oscillating systems.
• Operate in a High‑Flex Environment
• Support assembly, sub‑assembly, and tight‑deadline builds.
• Participate in the head exchange programs.
• Precision & Consistency
• Follow detailed, repetition‑based assembly processes.
What We’re Looking For
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 2+ year of mechanical assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Comfort with large, heavy precision equipment
• Ability to follow technical procedures

Preferred Experience

• Mechanical experience beyond basic assembly work
• Hydraulics: pumps, valves, high‑pressure systems
• Blueprint and hydraulic diagram reading • Rotating/oscillating machinery exposure

Why Join Terra Sonic International?

• Competitive compensation and benefits
• Opportunities for long-term career advancement
• Hands-on, team-driven work environment
