Summary of Position:

The Senior Manager / Associate Director, HCP Marketing (US) will play a key role in the execution of Scholar Rock’s first U.S. commercial launch. This role will work with the HCP Marketing team lead to execute the HCP marketing strategy and ensure tactical pull-through for apitegromab, the first and only muscle-targeted therapy for spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).

This individual will support the U.S. HCP brand strategy through commercialization, ensuring clear differentiation, compelling scientific communication, and flawless execution across channels. The role will work closely cross-functional partners deliver an integrated experience for HCPs and ensure brand continuity across tactics.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role within a fast-growing organization and an opportunity to contribute to the commercial foundation of Scholar Rock’s first marketed product.
 
 
 
Position Responsibilities
U.S. HCP Execution
  • Support execution of the U.S. HCP brand strategy for apitegromab, grounded in deep understanding of the SMA landscape, unmet need, and clinical data.
  • Translate strategy into high-quality, compliant HCP promotional tactics across personal and non-personal channels.
  • Partner with field-based team members to ensure strong integration between HCP marketing and field execution.
  • Collaborate with agency partners and vendors to deliver best-in-class creative and execution.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as a connector across the U.S. Commercial Team, collaborating with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional partners in order to ensure brand continuity across all HCP-facing materials and tactics.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing, with experience in U.S. HCP marketing or Medical Education preferred
  • MLR (or equivalent) experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding and experience navigating compliant HCP messaging.
  • Strong strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
  • Experience working in matrixed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience in neurology, neuromuscular disease, or rare disease preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed (anticipated up to ~30%).
