About The Role The Workday HCM Analyst serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned Workday Absence and Time tracking modules. This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, optimization, and support of Workday HCM to enable accurate data, efficient processes, and excellent user experience. What You\'ll Do Here Serve as SME for assigned Workday Time Tracking and Absence Modules and any possible additional ones. Configure and maintain Workday business processes, eligibility rules, validations, calculated fields, condition rules, and security roles within HCM scope. Translate business needs (HR Ops, COEs, Payroll, IT) into scalable Workday solutions. Ensure system configuration aligns with business requirements, policies, and data governance standards. Perform impact analysis for configuration changes and ensure downstream process integrity. Manage intake, clarify scope and success criteria, communicate status/risks/dependencies, and deliver on time and in scope for small/mid initiatives. Participate in Workday's semi‐annual releases: review notes, assess impacts, recommend and implement value‐add features. Identify opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual work, and improve user experience and data quality. Safeguard data quality and privacy across HCM; support audits and control requirements. Plan and execute unit/regression/UAT; maintain test evidence and change documentation. Build and maintain operational reports/dashboards within HCM scope; ensure accurate interpretation and actionable insights. Identify trends or data quality issues and recommend corrective actions. What You\'ll Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3–5+ years of experience in an Workday Analyst role Workday certifications an asset Strong understanding of Workday HCM architecture, business processes, and configuration principles Experience with Workday reporting (standard, advanced, calculated fields) Knowledge of HR data governance, controls, and audit considerations Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and audience-appropriate manner Analytical mindset with strong problem‐solving abilities High attention to detail and commitment to data quality Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment Customer‐focused with a continuous improvement mindset Altasciences strives to provide a French working environment for its employees in Quebec.
