Job Description

Position: PeopleSoft Lead 

Duration: Full-Time 

Location: Topeka, KS 

Direct Client: Immediate Interview 

 Client will pay Travel reimburse- Non Locals 


Seeking a PeopleSoft Lead to work with its General Ledger and Account Payable solutions. This position will be based in Topeka, Kansas (or possibly the NYC office).  


General Accountabilities:

This position will serve as the primary liaison between the business community and the IT organization, with a focus on the PeopleSoft solutions utilized by the internal Finance team.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Gather and document business requirements

Meet with representatives from the business areas, end users, and/or customers, to review business processes, and identify areas for improvement

Develop business process documentation and specifications for new technology or enhanced system capabilities

Provide oversight to technical resources

Provide oversight and ownership of administration for PeopleSoft security 

Provide input and guidance for strategy of setup tables in PeopleSoft

Assist with configuration of setup tables in PeopleSoft

Assist with work intake process

Assist with User Acceptance Testing

Stay informed on all PeopleSoft Maintenance Packs, bundles, patches and fixes. Assist with impact analysis on affected applications and coordinate testing and implementation with programming, DBA, QA, and functional testers

Ensure performance of systems meet expected Service Level Agreements

Lead and coordinate efforts during production outages

Support business area with end user/customer training

Coordinate Change Management for the PeopleSoft environments

Develop materials for and facilitate Business working group sessions

Facilitate prioritization meetings

Report progress and status of open projects, new requests, and concerns to the Application Manager on a weekly basis

Effectively communicate with various levels of the organization

Any and all other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or related field preferred 

Minimum of 5-7 years' of experience with PeopleSoft solutions including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, People Tools 8.5x, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), People Code, PeopleSoft Internet Architect, PeopleSoft Integration Technologies like PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Component Interface, and Web Services 

5+ years of professional experience in functional analysis, requirements gathering and support in a large/medium corporate setting

Deep knowledge of Finance General Ledger and Accounts Payables modules and understanding of finance accounting processes 

Experience upgrading PeopleSoft to 9.2 from 8.* version preferred

Experience working in cross-functionally or across organizations

Strong written and verbal communication skills along with presentation skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks of highly varied nature in a timely manner 

Strong business acumen and existing knowledge of financial services industry
