Job description

Standard Job Description Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. THE WORK In this role, you'll be supporting the Next Generation Missile Defense (NGMD) program, a high-priority effort that will deliver new Aegis capability in an expeditionary configuration to protect the homeland.

You will be responsible for the execution of Site Integration, Installation, Integration and Test efforts. In this role you will coordinate with program managers, customers, senior leaders and support teams to ensure successful execution of the NGMD program. The candidate selected will provide leaderships and drive program execution in support of the NGMD Senior Program Manager across a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

You will be expected to effectively manage multiple priorities, mitigate program risks, and collaborate across the larger NGMD program to achieve on-time and on-budget program commitments. Basic Qualifications Program Management experience to include Earned Value Management. Experience leading cross-functional teams to accomplish program objectives. Demonstrated abilities in cost estimation and proposal development.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with external customers and internal leadership. Proven ability to multi-task and ability to manage multiple simultaneous program efforts. Ability to travel to support key program events.

Active DoD Secret clearance. Desired Skills A broad understanding of Aegis programs, Combat System integration and system integration. Familiarity with supply chain and subcontractor management, including hardware procurement and interfacing with Architecture & Engineering firms Demonstrated experience in working across functional organizations.

Experience in capture work and cost estimate generation. Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate and influence individuals outside team boundaries to accomplish wider organizational goals. Experience in risk and opportunity management.

Knowledge of Digital Transformation tools and application to program performance and proposals. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
