The Hardware Engineering organization is dedicated to consistently providing high quality product designs in support of multiple product areas.

The Manager of Data Management oversees a group of approximately 7-10 support members. The technical areas of expertise of this group include: product technical data management and contractual data management. The manager will be responsible for Team Leadership and Management, Team Technical Performance, and Strategic Planning. Tasks included within the scope of responsibility are:

Staff management & administration

Cost Account Manager

Maintenance of and reaction to future staffing projections

Mentoring & career development, including training

Program performance monitoring & support

Ensuring and monitoring quality of work products

Data Management process maintenance & enforcement

Leadership of proposal activities for Hardware Engineering

Thought leadership toward product innovations

Execute a strategic vision for the Data Management functions.

This position is full-time and on-site at our Rolling Meadows, IL. location

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience.

Previous experience in lead role(s)

Proficiency in computer use & typical office applications

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain Active secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in a relevant field

Certification as a Cost Account Manager and prior working knowledge

Working familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and CMMI

Working familiarity with contract negotiations

Working familiarity with Requirements Traceability Matrix

Experience with CADE and TopView US Government Data Delivery Systems

Proven record of collaboration across organizations and geographical location

Working knowledge of NGC procurement processes

Formal Continuous Improvement training, such as Six Sigma.

Working knowledge of Agile process

High proficiency in oral and written communications at all levels within an organization, internally, and externally

Active DoD secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $105,000.00 - $157,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
