JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Assistance: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their hardware needs, including helping them find the right products, answering questions about specifications, and offering recommendations based on their requirements.
  2. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and replenishing supplies as needed. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and manage returns or exchanges efficiently.
  3. Technical Support: Offer technical support to customers by troubleshooting hardware-related issues, providing guidance on installation and setup, and offering solutions to resolve any problems they may encounter.
  4. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest hardware technologies, trends, and developments in the industry. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of various hardware components, including but not limited to, processors, motherboards, RAM, graphics cards, storage devices, and peripherals.
  5. Sales and Promotion: Actively participate in sales initiatives by promoting featured products, highlighting special offers, and upselling complementary items to enhance the customer's shopping experience and maximize sales opportunities.
  6. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the hardware department and other departments to ensure seamless operations, share insights and best practices, and contribute to a positive work environment.
  7. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and customers. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in computer hardware or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a retail or hardware environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components, their functions, and compatibility.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing customer inquiries and technical issues.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
