Hardware Lead and Sales Associates / FT and PT positions available
Arroyo Grande, CA
Looking for responsible, positive, team associates that have experience and large knowledge of building maintenance and repairs. Hardware, tools, including some plumbing and electrical experience would be helpful. Building trade, experience preferred, not required. Must enjoy working with people and offer exceptional customer service.
This position is responsible for sales and servicing customers by presenting appropriate products and services in the tool and hardware department including STIHL, Honda, Milwaukee, Makita, DEWALT, and assist throughout the store when needed. Required knowledgeable in the building trade and associated products. General knowledge in plumbing and electrical. This position will also help stock shelves, pricing, ordering, set up displays, clean store equipment, and load and unload trucks. It may also assist in making deliveries if necessary.
All employees at Arroyo Grande Home & Garden will learn the entire store to promote teamwork and an unparalleled customer experience. Duties will include: Exceptional Customer Service at all times working cash register, carry outs, cleaning store, continued training as well as knowing how to work safely and be a positive and supportive team associate and any other tasks deemed necessary by the manager.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to operate needed equipment, a computer and communicate via the telephone.
This position requires physical demands such as lifting heavy objects, bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Reliable transportation a must!
