Hardware Receiving & Inventory Specialist

Overview

Seeking a detail oriented Hardware Receiving & Inventory Specialist to join an Infrastructure Delivery team in a data center environment. This role is focused on asset intake, inventory management, and hardware tracking within the data center. You will work closely with rack receiving and deployment teams to ensure that all incoming equipment is accurately scanned, labeled, cataloged, and tracked as it moves through the data center lifecycle. This is a hands-on, warehouse-style role requiring strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Shifts:

Front Half Days (FHD) – Sunday – Tuesday + every other Wednesday. 6am – 6:30pm

Back Half Days (BHD) – Thursday – Saturday + every other Wednesday. 6am – 6:30pm

*Some Night Shift Flexibility is also required 

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming data center hardware, including servers, network devices, and rack components

• Perform asset tagging, labeling, and barcode/RFID scanning to ensure accurate inventory tracking

• Catalog and update asset data in inventory management systems

• Partner with rack receiving teams to ensure proper intake and movement of equipment into designated storage or deployment areas

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all hardware is accounted for throughout its lifecycle

• Verify shipments against documentation and resolve discrepancies

• Organize and maintain laydown/storage areas for efficient access and tracking

• Support material movement from receiving docks to staging locations

• Follow strict safety and handling protocols when working with data center equipment

• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant workspaces

Work Environment

• Fast-paced data center and warehouse-like environment

• Requires standing, walking, and lifting equipment throughout the shift

• High emphasis on safety, process adherence, and operational efficiency

• Collaboration with multiple teams including receiving, logistics, and infrastructure deployment

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or fulfillment center environments

• Familiarity with inventory management, asset tracking, or scanning systems

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes

• Ability to lift and move equipment safely (up to 40–50 lbs as required)

• Comfortable working in a physically active role

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.63 - $22.63/hr.
