Job description

The Role:
Our marketing team helps clients understand what's actually happening on their websites and what to do about it. As that practice grows, we're looking for an analytics specialist who can own measurement end to end: designing and implementing GA4 and GTM setups, building the data pipelines and dashboards behind them, and turning the resulting data into recommendations clients can act on.
Roughly half of this job is client-facing. You will lead measurement conversations with marketing directors, VPs, and founders, present your own findings on live video calls without a script, justify a recommendation when a client pushes back on it, and write the follow-up that makes the decision easy for them. The other half is hands-on build work: dataLayer specs QA'd against live containers, tags debugged in Tag Assistant and DevTools, and SQL written when the UI cannot answer the question.
You'll work across multiple client accounts at any given time, alongside our paid media, SEO, design, and development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing GA4 and GTM measurement setups for clients, including event architecture, custom dimensions and metrics, and server-side tagging.
  • Writing clean dataLayer specifications, QAing them against live containers, and working with developers to get them implemented correctly.
  • Diagnosing tracking issues end to end, from a broken tag to a misfiring trigger to a downstream reporting gap.
  • Building data pipelines and warehousing strategies (BigQuery or equivalent), including GA4 exports and joining behavioral data with other sources, and designing measurement architecture that scales across multiple clients and properties.
  • Building and maintaining dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, and/or Power BI that answer real business questions, and translating raw data into plain-English insight for stakeholders.
  • Strategizing and running Conversion Rate Optimization programs: developing hypotheses, designing A/B and multivariate tests, reading results with statistical rigor, and tying outcomes back to revenue or lead goals.
  • Analyzing web and behavioral data across GA4, Crazy Egg, Microsoft Clarity, and similar tools to find where users drop off and why, and turning those patterns into concrete recommendations for clients.
  • Supporting new business efforts by helping draft proposal language, contributing to pitches, and scoping analytics work for prospective clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Deep GA4 and GTM implementation experience, including event architecture, custom dimensions and metrics, server-side tagging, and debugging with Tag Assistant and DevTools.
  • Fluency with dataLayer design and specification.
  • Comfort in code (JavaScript for GTM, SQL for querying and transformation) rather than relying on the UI alone.
  • Experience building data pipelines and warehousing strategies with BigQuery or an equivalent platform.
  • A track record of building dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, and/or Power BI that drive decisions, not just display metrics.
  • Experience running CRO programs with A/B and multivariate testing tools.
  • Professional fluency in spoken and written English. You will run live client calls and write client-facing documentation, so you need to explain a misfiring tag to a CMO in plain language, in real time, and write a clear recap afterward without editing help.
  • Five or more years in an agency or consultancy where you personally owned the client or stakeholder relationship, including running your own calls and presenting your own analysis. Managing multiple concurrent accounts is required, not a bonus.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
What we offer:
  • A creative environment to do the best work of your career
  • An amazing team of developers, designers, marketers, and project managers.
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Paid vacation and sick time off
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • Retirement plan with company matching
