Carpenter, Handyman & Remodeling ApprenticeA Team Home Services is seeking a motivated Carpenter, Handyman & Remodeling Apprentice to join our growing team! This position is ideal for someone with basic experience in construction, carpentry, remodeling, or residential home repairs who wants to build a long-term career in the skilled trades. Working alongside experienced technicians and installers, you'll receive hands-on training while assisting with a wide variety of residential projects throughout the Greater Austin area. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional workmanship and outstanding customer service.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with residential remodeling projects including kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and general renovationsSupport demolition, material preparation, installation, and finish workAssist with carpentry projects including framing, trim, doors, cabinetry, shelving, and wood repairsHelp install vanities, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, hardware, appliances, and other residential componentsPerform basic drywall repairs, patching, tape and float, painting, and finish workAssist with general home maintenance and repair projectsLearn basic plumbing fixture installation and minor electrical fixture replacement under supervisionMeasure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power toolsMaintain clean, organized, and safe job sitesLoad, unload, transport, and organize tools and materialsFollow project scopes, layouts, safety procedures, and company quality standardsKeep tools and equipment clean, maintained, and organizedCommunicate professionally with homeowners, coworkers, and supervisorsContinue developing technical skills through hands-on training and mentorshipQualifications RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningBasic knowledge of hand and power toolsAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic mathStrong work ethic and willingness to learnExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in occupied residential homes professionallyAbility to lift at least 55 poundsPreferred1–2 years of experience in carpentry, construction, remodeling, handyman work, maintenance, or related tradesBasic knowledge of: CarpentryDrywall repairPaintingFlooringHome maintenance and repairsMechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilityStrong attention to detailWhat You'll Learn As an Apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in a variety of residential trades, including: Residential carpentryHome repairs and maintenanceKitchen and bathroom remodelingFlooring installationDrywall repair and finishingPainting and touch-up workCabinet and trim installationFixture installationBasic plumbing and electrical repairsCustomer communicationJobsite organization and safetyProfessional workmanship standardsBenefits Benefits become available after the successful completion of the 90-day introductory period.
