Job description

We are searching for a cautious driver to transport product between retail stores within Michigan, and the Midwest using the company box truck. The driver should be able to gather and pack products, drive to location, load and unload themself. They should be able to perform all duties within the confines of the law. To ensure success as a truck driver, you should pay close attention to the types and quantities of stock being delivered to avoid company losses.
Truck Driver - Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload truck
  • Collecting and loading stock in a manner that prevents breakage
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Determining the details of each delivery.
  • Ensuring that the truck has sufficient fuel at all times.
  • Completing, storing, and submitting all necessary documentation
  • Reporting all vehicle-related issues for urgent attention.
  • Assist distribution center with deliveries.
  • Other projects as needed
Truck Driver Requirements:
  • Must pass the DOT physical exam and drug screening.
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly, including some overnight trips
  • Valid Chauffer's Driver's License with good driving record
  • Comfortable using GPS equipment.
  • Compliance with all road and transport rules.
  • Ability to drive safely, irrespective of the weather or time of day.
  • Top-notch time management, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Capacity to work for days, evenings, weekend, holidays, if needed.
  • Organized, detail orientated
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
