Crown Center, one of the nation’s first mixed-use redevelopments, is an 85-acre complex that welcomes more than five million visitors each year. A subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Crown Center is a ‘city within a city’ – combining hotel, office, retail, residential and entertainment land uses within its boundaries.

Halls KC provides the ultimate in trend-setting design, exclusive brands, and superior customer service. Our beautiful, 60,000 square foot store is located on the third level of the Crown Center shops in the heart of Kansas City. Halls offers a new shopping experience in a fresh and exciting environment, taking an active role in Crown Center’s goal of creating a vibrant central city. 

The Crayola Store is a part of Halls KC store located at the Crown Center Shops. It offers a unique shopping experience geared towards families and children, while upholding the standards of superior customer service experienced at Halls KC.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

In the Crayola Store, the Sales Associate is instrumental in creating the best customer experience Crayola can offer. By demonstrating a thorough knowledge of store merchandise, the Sales Associate guides customers with selecting merchandise and ringing sales. Sales Associates are responsible for accurately preparing and ringing sales, packaging carry out merchandise appropriately, facilitating the gift wrap and shipping processes as needed, and following up on all merchandise requiring special handling. This position also assists in maintaining the function and visual presentation of the sales floor by dusting and straightening displays, restocking merchandise as needed, and replenishing cash wrap supplies such as bags, tissue paper and receipt paper.

This job requires standing for prolonged periods of time, lifting to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and pulling/pushing carts.

Store Hours

Saturday, 10:00am – 6:00pm, Sunday, 12:00pm – 5:00pm.

Hours for the Sales Associate will vary within these timeframes, but do include holidays, weekends, and evenings (during the Holiday season the store may possibly be open until 9:00 p.m.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • At least six months of sales experience in a department store setting, or six months professional customer contact (i.e. public relations, customer service, high volume receptionist)
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
