As anOperations Supervisorย โ€“ Supply Chain,youย will lead up toย 55ย Hallmark employees, directing and coordinatingย the scheduling and assignment of work to ensure productivity, serviceability, quality, and cost targets are met.ย Acrossย supplyย chain at Hallmark, weย focus on working together toย accomplishย goals as a team, exceeding ourย customerโ€™sย expectations along the way!ย 

The Operations Supervisor will:ย 

  • Productivity โ€“ย youโ€™llย be leading all activities within your assigned area, working towardsย goals andย objectivesย to ensureย they are met.ย 
  • Continuous improvementย โ€“ย youโ€™llย be using a disciplined problem-solving approach, usingย PDCA/A3 tools with our leadership team and operators to achieve or exceed cost reduction targets.ย 
  • Leadershipย โ€“ย leadingย and motivating your team as you provide direction and support to carry out the goals andย objectivesย of your area as well as theย company.ย 

Theย Operations Supervisorย role may be filled at any of ourย Kansas/Missouri supply chain locations,ย across any of the shiftsย โ€“ 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or weekend.ย ย Occasional weekend workย may be requiredย for those on a M-F weekly shift,ย dependentย on businessย need.ย ย ย 

Hallmark products are producedย in both of ourย Kansas Manufacturing facilitiesย locatedย in Lawrence, Kansas and Leavenworth, Kansas.ย ย These facilities produce most of our greeting cards, giftย wrap, ribbons & bows, tissueย paperย and stickers.ย ย Ourย Liberty Distribution Center,ย locatedย in Liberty, Missouri, fulfills and distributes most of these products to our customers.ย ย ย

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSย 

The followingย is required toย be considered for this role:ย 

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent AND a minimum of 3 years supervising direct reports; ORย Associateโ€™sย degree or higher, with a graduation date of Dec 2026ย or May 2027.ย 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).ย 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSย

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in supply chain,ย engineeringย or production operations.ย 
  • Experience managing direct reports in a manufacturing or distribution environment.ย 
  • Experience with equipment and/or building maintenance.ย 
  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor teams.ย 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.ย 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Experience with SAPย and/or Manhattan.ย 
  • Project management experience.ย 
  • Adept at seeing opportunities to improve upon the status quo and implementing solutions.ย 
  • Familiarity with Lean principles.ย

This jobย could beย locatedย atย any ofย our production facilitiesย in Lawrenceย or Leavenworth, KSย ORย our distribution center in Liberty, MO. Relocationย assistanceย will not be provided. ย
