The Cooperative Extension Service Program Assistant works for an assigned county Extension program under the supervision of a county agent in 4-H and youth development areas.

Quality and Quantity of Work
โ€ข Maintains 4-H Clubs. Periodically attends 4-H Club meetings.
โ€ข Maintains working relationship with all 4-H leaders, members, and parents.
โ€ข Recruits adult volunteer leaders youth, and volunteers to form 4-H clubs and grow the community 4-H enrollment/program.
โ€ข Follows up promptly with questions and requests for information.
โ€ข Maintains accurate 4-H records and submits reports by deadlines.
โ€ข Displays acknowledge of 4-H policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation for use on the job with liability insurance in effect.
  • Must successfully complete the standard background check which includes the Arkansas Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Check.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to conduct programs and work with all clientele regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, disability, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to keep accurate records and submit timely reports of activities. Ability to respond positively to supervisor direction. Ability to work without close daily supervision.
