They have advanced training in both obstetrics and gynecology as well as oncology, enabling them to provide comprehensive care that may include surgery, chemotherapy, and other treatments. These specialists often work as part of a multidisciplinary team to offer patients the best possible outcomes. Their expertise also extends to managing complex gynecologic conditions and providing follow-up care after cancer treatment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a gynecologic oncologist?

Exceptional communication, compassion, and decision-making skills help in supporting patients through complex diagnoses and multidisciplinary care.
