QUALIFICATIONS:
JOB SPECIFIC CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrates the ability to answer and manage all incoming phone calls to the main Hospital phone number.
- Demonstrates the ability to manage internal Hospital communications of interdepartmental phone calls, pagers, and intercom system.
- Demonstrates the ability to appropriately respond and follows Emergency code protocol per emergency response plan.
- Demonstrates the ability to accurately contact on call providers per departmental protocols.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Associate can deliver required care/service appropriate to patients/customers.
- Responsible for answering all incoming and in-house calls to the Hospital switchboard.
- Displays and maintains behavior which promotes good guest relations to patients, visitors, physicians and Hospital associates.
- Successfully completes annual Competency Validation. Responds and follows established Hospital Procedures when initiating all "Codes".
- Utilizes available resources to communicate with Hospital associates and Physicians.
- Maintains an updated and accurate On-Call list.
- Performs assigned duties during normal scheduled time.
- Maintains the cash box and handles payments per Hospital and departmental policy.
- Is knowledgeable and utilizes the Hospital information system per Hospital policy/procedure.
- Maintains appropriate logs as required by Hospital policy and procedure. Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
