Job description

Threekit is looking for an AI Product Intern to join our Product and Sales Engineering teams for a hands-on introduction to how a growing B2B SaaS company builds, sells, and scales an AI product with real customers on the line. Depending on placement, you'll support live product development on our AI Sales Agent or help our Sales Engineering team with customer-facing demo work. Either way, this isn't busywork; you'll contribute to real initiatives that have a direct impact on customers or products.

This is a part-time role (~20 hrs/week) designed to run alongside a class schedule and is paid hourly.

The successful candidate must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Chicago office and be willing to come into the office one half day per week. Interested? Apply now!

Who We Are

Threekit is the Next-Generation Configure, Price, Quote Platform for Manufacturers. We help manufacturers make complex products easier to buy and sell through the systems they already trust.

What We Value

At Threekit, our core values can be summed up with the acronym GRIT: Getting things done, Revenue, Innovation, and Team. These principles guide our actions and decisions, shaping the way we work and interact with each other and our customers.

At Threekit, GRIT is more than just an acronym; it is the driving force behind our success and growth.

What You'll Do

  • Support live product initiatives, including customer-facing AI features.
  • Assist the Sales Engineering team with prospect and customer demo prep and support.
  • Contribute to real projects with direct impact on customers or products.
  • Collaborate across Product, Sales Engineering, and GTM teams.
  • Bring a fresh perspective to problems the team is actively solving in AI product development.

What Catches Our Eye

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Smart, committed, and comfortable with ambiguity - no prior professional experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and how it's applied to real business problems.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership without needing constant direction.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with SaaS or B2B software concepts.
  • Exposure to product management, UX, or software development processes.
  • Comfortable with everyday business tools (Slack, Google Workspace, CRM systems).

What Success Looks Like

  • Product track: quality and impact of contributions to live AI Sales Agent initiatives.
  • Sales Engineering track: quality of demo support and prep, and feedback from the team on customer-facing readiness.
  • Ownership: the ability to take a task from ambiguous to complete with minimal direction.

Who You'll Report To

This role will report to our VP of Product Management or Director of Sales Engineering, depending on placement.

What You Can Expect From Threekit

  • A transparent, efficient interview process focused on getting to know your interests and skills.
  • Real project ownership - not busywork - with visibility into how a B2B SaaS company builds and sells AI product.
  • Direct exposure to Product, Sales Engineering, and GTM teams.
  • A positive culture that embraces employee input.
