About the Role The Last Mile Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow and delivery of customer orders within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high service levels, operational efficiency, and driver performance while supporting continuous improvement across final mile delivery operations. What You'll Do • Lead and develop delivery drivers and transportation staff to achieve performance, safety, and service goals • Ensure efficient and timely delivery operations, meeting customer expectations and delivery windows • Drive route optimization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs • Monitor and manage final mile delivery operations, including routing, fleet utilization, and service performance • Partner with sales teams to align delivery operations with customer needs and expectations • Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety standards • Manage departmental budgets, including route expenses, fleet costs, and labor efficiency • Support hiring, training, coaching, and employee relations to build a strong and engaged team Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role operates in both warehouse and office environments and requires working in non-temperature-controlled conditions, with exposure to varying weather. The position is highly active and requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand and move for extended periods, and occasionally assist with loading/unloading and delivery operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.
