We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Groundwater Modeler with 7 or more years of professional experience in groundwater modeling. This position involves leading and executing complex groundwater modeling projects to support remedial design and evaluation. The ideal candidate will have advanced technical expertise in modeling software, parameter estimation techniques, and programming.


Key Responsibilities
  • Groundwater Modeling for Remedial Design:

    • Develop, calibrate, and apply groundwater flow and contaminant transport models to support remedial design and evaluation.
    • Analyze and interpret modeling results to inform project strategies and decision-making.
  • Model Development and Software Expertise:

    • Utilize advanced modeling tools such as MODFLOW-USG, Groundwater Vistas, and IES.
    • Apply parameter estimation techniques using PEST or PEST++.
  • Python Programming:

    • Develop and implement Python scripts for automating model workflows, data analysis, and visualization.
    • Integrate Python programming into modeling workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Data Analysis and Integration:

    • Synthesize hydrogeologic, geochemical, and environmental data into model frameworks.
    • Perform sensitivity analyses and uncertainty evaluations to enhance model reliability.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate modeling insights into broader project goals.
    • Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications
