QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate. Must hold a high school diploma and valid SC License. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Examines school grounds, to include athletic facilities, on a regular basis for needed improvement.
  2. Remains current on issues and successful practices associated with ground maintenance.
  3. Attends all required training.
  4. Must operate various types of lawn machinery in a productive and safe manner and provide low level maintenance as needed.
  5. Trains new grounds men on the productive and safe use of machinery.
  6. Must be able to work outside for eight (8) hours a day (flexible schedule as may be required) and lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

TERMS: 233 DAYS.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the in accordance with provisions of Sumter School District policy.
