Grounds Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of our property. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of managing routine maintenance tasks across daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly schedules to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily maintenance duties including:

- Walking grounds to pick up trash and litter, ensuring all traffic areas are hazard-free

- Checking dumpster areas for overflowing trash, cleaning, and sweeping as needed

- Inspecting common areas for trash and emptying trash containers

- Monitoring and refilling supplies in public restrooms

- Checking laundry rooms for cleanliness and supplies

- Reviewing work orders in the maintenance box or with site management

Conduct weekly maintenance tasks such as:

- Cleaning dumpster areas

- Cleaning common areas, hallways, restrooms, and laundry rooms

- Sweeping or blowing off parking lots

- Pulling weeds and applying weed killer

- Inspecting landscaping for trimming needs

Skills and Qualifications

- Proven experience in maintenance, janitorial, or groundskeeping roles

- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and walking for extended periods

- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of maintenance tools and equipment
