Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Grinder in Santa Ana, CA supporting an aluminum parts manufacturing company. You'll mainly remove flash and excess material from aluminum parts and use surface-grinding tools to meet blueprint specifications.


Quick Facts


Pay: $19.50/hour


Schedule: Monday–Thursday 3:30pm–2:00am, Friday 1:30pm–10:00pm, Saturday as needed (56 hours/week minimum)


Location: Santa Ana, CA


Job Type: Temp-to-Hire


Work Environment: Manufacturing Plant


Overtime: Required to meet operational deadlines, Saturdays as needed


Minimum Requirements


• 1+ year experience as a grinder, grinder operator, or metal grinding in a manufacturing environment (within the last 3 years)


• Experience using surface-grinding tools or hand grinders to remove material from metal parts


• Ability to inspect parts visually and by touch to identify defects, flash, and excess material


• Experience following work orders, blueprints, or job-specific instructions in a production environment


Preferred Qualifications


Preferred Qualifications are a plus, not required.


• 2+ years grinding experience in aluminum or metal fabrication


• Experience with precision grinding or surface finishing


• Familiarity with depth perception and dimensional accuracy requirements


• Machine shop or job shop experience


• Experience maintaining part counts and production documentation

• Ensure parts meet quality and production requirements before moving to next operation

• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area using lean principles
