Company Overview

Well-established metal finishing company seeking an experienced Grinder to join our 2nd shift team. Candidates must have experience operating precision cylindrical grinding machines in a manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

The Grinder is responsible for setting up and operating precision cylindrical grinding machines to produce parts according to customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with STUDER grinding machines, FANUC controls, and precision inspection tools.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines
  • Grind metal parts to blueprint and customer specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, tech sheets, and work orders
  • Use measuring tools including micrometers and height gauges
  • Perform quality inspections and enter SPC data
  • Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Follow production schedules and workflow priorities
  • Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience with STUDER grinding machines required
  • Experience with FANUC controls and STUDERWIN software preferred
  • Cylindrical grinding experience required
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
  • Basic math and English communication skills
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must be open to overtime and weekend work as needed
