Volt is immediately hiring for an Swiss Screw Machine Operator in La Verne, CA.
As a Swiss Screw Machine Operator you will:
Job Description
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate screw machines (manual or CNC) to produce precision components.
  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed rate, and tooling to meet specifications.
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during production.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results and report any deviations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Replace worn or damaged tools and components.
  • Track production output and machine performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data and machine maintenance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve efficiency.

This is a full-time opportunity. Monday - Friday 2pm to 10pm (paid lunch)
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • Proven programing experience
  • Must know how to read and understand blueprints
  • Excellent reading and comprehension skills
  • Good mathematical skills (basic, algebra etc.)
  • Problem solving
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Manual CNC
• knowledge of power and manual tools & measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Understanding of maintenance
• Prior screw machine operator experience preferred
Schedule: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Days: Monday through Friday and occasionally overtime on Saturday
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
