SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Grinder/Polisher is responsible for the grinding and polishing of Chrome Hearts manufactured jewelry, ensuring a high-quality finish on all pieces. This role encompasses key elements of jewelry production including casting clean-up, sprue grinding and preparing jewelry for final finishing. The position requires attention to detail, organization, and efficiency in handling high-end materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Grind sprues and polish jewelry pieces according to specifications through basic bench jewelry production
  • techniques.
  • Clean castings, solder, and polish with a heavy focus on casting clean-up and finishing.
  • Assemble customized pieces or create many products that follow the same design specifications using your hands and/or hand tools to do basic assembly on jewelry
  • File fine jewelry, straighten parts, and assemble pieces for polishing.
  • Conduct quality inspections on products and parts to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality pieces with a short turnaround time.
  • Rotate through tasks for specific production processes as needed.
  • Restore or adjust jewelry for size, customization, or repair.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area and follow all safety protocols

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in jewelry production, specifically in grinding, polishing, and assembly, preferred.
  • Familiarity with various jewelry production techniques such as silversmithing, goldsmithing, engraving, wax
  • carving, casting, and soldering is a plus.
  • Experience with grinding and polishing tools and equipment.
  • Ability to handle physical workloads, including working with hand tools and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time, some sitting, some walking. Employees will be expected to repeat much of the physical motions throughout the shift that may include the use of their feet, legs, arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Employees will operate a variety of equipment and hand tools in a repetitive manner requiring a high degree of manual dexterity and close visual attention. The employee must be able to carry and/or lift up to 50 lbs if needed.
