Position type: Hourly
Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring a Centerless Grind Operator to work 3rd shift. The operator will grind external cylindrical surfaces of rotating metal work pieces to blueprint specifications. This position will train on days before moving to 3rd shift.
Responsibilities:
  • Must be able to adjust work guides, grinding blades to achieve a round part for finish operations
  • Must be able to straighten parts by hand or use of hydraulic press in preparation of grinding
  • Must be able to dress both regulating and grinding wheel per instructions
  • Must be able to replace either regulating wheel or grinding wheel as needed
  • Must be capable of adjusting machine operating parameters to maintain tight tolerance and part finishes
  • Must be able to read a variety of hand measuring tools as well as indicator on height stand

Qualifications:
  • Related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3-5 years' experience operating centerless grinding machines (preferred)
  • Able to stand, stoop, reach with both arms, and bend for 10 hours
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
