Job description

GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Job Description & Requirements

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2537.68

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Varied shifts with weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Weekend requirement of 1-2 weekends, desired but negotiable
• Holiday coverage may be required for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• No on-call or standby requirement
• May be floated to PICU, Inpatient Pediatrics, and Labor & Delivery
• Level IV NICU with 50 beds
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 or 1:4 for NSDU
• Common patient diagnoses include micro preemies, preemie growers, surgical patients, BPD, NAS, genetic anomalies, and cardiac patients
• Responsibilities include neonatal assessment, IV management, medication administration, feeding, and ventilator and CPAP care
• Titrate drips including Dopamine, Dobutamine, Prostins, Insulin, and Sedation under MD order
• Neonatologist in house 24/7 with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPap available
• Monitored beds available with no monitor tech requirement
• Nurse aides available on unit with 2 per shift
• Scrub color required: Pewter Gray
• Charting system: EPIC (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or higher required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• ACLS and PALS not required but preferred
• BSN not required
• Up to 2 shift cancellations permitted per 13-week contract

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a Level IV NICU supported by neonatologists available in-house 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The unit is equipped with advanced respiratory therapy equipment and provides comprehensive care for a wide range of neonatal conditions. Orientation is provided by dedicated NICU Clinical Preceptors and is tailored based on individual experience level.
