UTMB Health Women's Health Care Group OB/GYN Opportunity:

The UTMB Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a full-time OB/GYN physician to join the Women's Health Care Group at our Angleton/Lake Jackson campuses. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing practice that provides full-scope obstetrics and gynecology services to a diverse community.

The practice currently includes three physicians and two Advanced Practice Providers, working collaboratively to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care. With approximately 600 deliveries annually, dedicated operating room time, and strong subspecialty support from Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, and Minimally Invasive Gynecology, this opportunity combines the feel of a private practice with the benefits of being part of a leading academic health system.

As a clinical faculty member, the selected candidate will hold a non-tenure track academic appointment within UTMB's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with rank commensurate with experience. The role also provides opportunities for teaching and mentoring residents and medical students, contributing to the next generation of physicians.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

This full-scope OB/GYN position offers a rewarding blend of outpatient and inpatient clinical care. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both ambulatory and hospital settings.

  • Participate in shared call coverage (1:4 with the addition of this position), covering only one hospital.

  • Perform office-based procedures, deliveries, and gynecologic surgeries with dedicated OR time.

  • Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers, nursing staff, and subspecialty colleagues to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

  • Engage in medical student and resident education, with opportunities for mentoring and instruction.

  • Support the growth of women's healthcare services in the Angleton/Lake Jackson community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited school of medicine.

  • Board certification/eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Texas medical license (or eligibility for licensure).

  • DEA Registration

  • American Heart Association certification in ACLS and BCLS.

  • New Graduates are welcome to apply.

Income Package:
