Greiner Packaging USA (Pittston, PA - On-Site Leadership Role)
Greiner Packaging is a family-owned global leader in rigid plastic packaging solutions serving the food, consumer goods, and healthcare markets. Since establishing our U.S. footprint in 2014, Greiner Packaging USA has become a strategic platform for North American growth. We are seeking a senior commercial leader to accelerate profitable growth, strengthen key customer partnerships, and help shape long-term business strategy.
Position Overview
The Commercial Director - North America holds full accountability for commercial performance, executive customer relationships, and profitability for Greiner Packaging North America. As a core member of the U.S. leadership team, this role leads the commercial organization, owns commercial governance and provides executive oversight of customer-driven project portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Growth
Lead and develop Sales, Key Account, and Customer Service teams to deliver profitable growth.
Own executive relationships with strategic customers and lead key negotiations.
Drive new business development, market expansion, and portfolio growth in partnership with R&D, Engineering, and Operations.
Own revenue, margin, mix, and portfolio profitability.
Lead pricing strategy, value-based selling, and margin expansion initiatives.
Develop and approve business cases for customer programs, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.
Commercial Forecasting, Governance & S&OP
Own commercial forecasting governance, including forecast accuracy, pipeline rigor and planning
Lead commercial input into S&OP / IBP with Planning and Supply Chain.
Ensure disciplined opportunity management, backlog health, and demand-to-capacity alignment.
Act as the executive commercial voice in cross-functional planning forums.
Strategy & Market Leadership
Define and execute commercial and market strategies aligned with global objectives.
Lead structured market and competitive intelligence.
Build multi-year commercial and growth roadmaps for Greiner Packaging USA.
Actively contribute as a member of the U.S. leadership team.
Operational & Supply Chain Interface
Serve as the primary commercial interface to Operations, Planning, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
Ensure alignment between customer commitments, service performance, and operational capability.
Lead commercial prioritization and escalation of capacity, service, quality, and supply risks.
Maintain strong on-site engagement with plant and engineering leadership.
Project Portfolio & Executive Oversight
Hold executive oversight of commercial and customer-driven projects, including tooling, capital, supply chain, and strategic customer projects.
Establish prioritization, governance, and escalation across the project portfolio.
Ensure projects are aligned to strategy and delivered to scope, timing, and financial commitments.
Lead executive project reviews and cross-functional accountability.
Sustainability & Commercial Governance
Lead sustainability deployment from a commercial perspective.
Ensure strong commercial governance, contract discipline, and audit readiness.
Maintain awareness of regulatory and legislative developments impacting packaging.
Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Packaging, or related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years of commercial leadership experience within packaging, industrial manufacturing, or FMCG-related industries.
5+ years in a senior leadership role with full commercial and people responsibility.
Proven success managing strategic key accounts and executive-level customer relationships.
Strong financial and commercial acumen, including pricing, forecasting, and business case ownership.
Broad understanding of rigid packaging processes; thermoforming and/or injection molding preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional organizations.
