Job description

Job Title: Civil/Environmental Engineer
Work Location: Atlanta, GA
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop stormwater management plans, including analysis and design of stormwater systems (e.g., drainage channels, detention basins, culverts).
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar tools.
  • Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for project proposals and permitting.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
  • Conduct site evaluations, field inspections, and oversee construction to ensure project compliance with design specifications and local regulations.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets, schedules, and proposals.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Determine and develop the most effective site solution utilizing a suite of Stormwater product offerings.
  • Present project-specific solutions to civil engineering specifiers.
  • Provide design calculations and drawings for integration into civil engineering plans to secure product solutions on site plans.
  • Respond to civil engineers on project-specific inquiries and industry questions including local stormwater regulations.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with civil engineer specifiers.
  • Support area and internal team members to achieve team goals.
  • Provide project and technical support for submittal drawings, calculations, regulatory approvals, production, and product delivery.
  • Recording project information accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil/stormwater engineering.
  • Knowledge in stormwater design including green infrastructure practices
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software and drafting procedures
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to stormwater management.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Experience with green infrastructure and low-impact development (LID) design.
  • Familiarity with stormwater quality modeling and best management practices (BMPs).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs.
