Job description

Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN seeks a graduate assistant for the Men's Soccer program. The successful applicant will start late July 2026.


JOB DESCRIPTION
The graduate assistant will be primarily, but not limited to, working with our goalkeepers. The candidate will have additional duties assigned to them throughout the calendar year. The graduate assistant will be involved with all aspects of the team such as pre-season, team travel, community service and all practices and games. Applicants must be available to work evenings and weekends and some holidays as required.


QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree, taken the GRE or GMAT and apply to Cumberland University’s graduate program. Cumberland University offers graduate programs in Arts and Education, Business Administration and Sports Administration. Desired applicant must have played a high level of soccer, college and/or professional. Goalkeeper experience preferred.


COMPENSATION
The successful candidate will receive full tuition, room, and board as well as meals provided in the cafeteria and other dining areas on campus. Meals will be provided while traveling with the men’s soccer team for pre-season games and recruiting.

The Men’s Soccer program has accomplished tremendous success over the past few seasons and is regarded as one of the top NAIA programs in the country. We have been crowned the Mid South Conference Champions in 2015 & 2017 and Regular season champions in 2018. We have made national tournament appearances in 2017 & 2021. Our aspirations are to be consistent winners of the Mid South Conference and to make deep National Tournament runs consistently on a yearly basis.
