Golf Maintenance Technician
Angel Fire Resort is looking for a Golf Maintenance Technician to join our team for the remainder of the summer. In this position, you will use tools, equipment, and manual labor to maintain the golf course and surrounding areas. The ideal Golf Maintenance Technician will have experience working on golf courses, work well in the outdoors, and is able to carry out manual labor duties regularly. This role plays a crucial part in the success of golf course operations.
Base Pay: Starts at $17/hr
Location: Golf Course and surrounding areas
Employee Type: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Job Category: Seasonal full time
A typical shift: Begins around 5:30am and ends mid-afternoon
Required Certs or Licenses: Valid driver’s license with driving record insurable under resort insurance
Qualifications: N/A
Min Age: 16 years old
Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential

Environment: This is an outdoor position and applicants can expect to work long hours in variable weather conditions while performing heavy work (must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 25 pounds constantly)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintaining the grounds and turf of the golf course by mowing the grass
  • Maintaining sand traps and water features
  • Operating various landscaping tools and equipment
  • Applying fertilizer to the grass
  • Maintaining the golf course signage
  • Laying sod, planting trees and shrubs
  • Maintaining the supplies, equipment, and facilities to a high standard
  • Carries out any daily duties assigned by manager
Environment: This is an outdoor position and applicants can expect to work early hours in variable summer weather conditions.
Experience: Golf course maintenance or general landscaping experience is preferred. A passion for the game of golf is also a plus.
