Job Title: Senior Front-End Software Engineer (Angular/JavaScript) Location: Orlando, Florida Type: Contract To Hire Work Model: Onsite - 4/10-1st Shift Mon-Thurs Security Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Front-End Software Engineer to support the development of advanced training and simulation solutions for complex mission environments. This role will focus on designing and developing modern web-based user interfaces that support simulation-driven training systems utilizing a combination of live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end application development, experience working throughout the software development lifecycle, and a passion for building intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that support mission-critical operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain web-based front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and technologies.
  • Support the development of user-facing applications that interface with complex simulation, training, and distributed systems environments.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute software development activities throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, system architects, and end users to gather requirements and translate them into functional software solutions.
  • Develop and enhance graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that improve usability and operational effectiveness.
  • Integrate front-end applications with backend services, simulation platforms, and enterprise software systems.
  • Troubleshoot software defects, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, operating instructions, and development artifacts.
  • Apply established software engineering standards, processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and product quality.
  • Support the integration of emerging technologies and development tools into existing applications and workflows.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 9+ years of professional software development experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years with a Master's degree.
  • Experience developing applications across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following technologies:
    • JavaScript
    • TypeScript
    • Angular
    • Java
  • Experience using GitLab or comparable source control and CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience developing software in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, debugging techniques, and application testing methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing and developing GUI-based applications.
  • Experience working with simulation, modeling, or training systems.
  • Familiarity with live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) environments.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems architecture.
  • Experience with Python development.
  • Experience learning and adopting new technologies, frameworks, and development tools.
  • Experience integrating modern technologies into established software programs to improve efficiency and performance.
