Description

SAIC is seeking a rising college senior to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS).

For the summer of 2026, GMASS has several Software Engineering internship positions available. These interns will be performing software support using C++ or Linux to resolve coding errors, assist in developing and updating code. All of the positions under this job requisition will be located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Roles and responsibilities potentially include:

  • Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to review and resolve coding errors and develop new code.
  • Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents.
  • Develop modeling and simulation using MATLAB and STK. 
  • Support Agile PI Planning events.

 Areas of Technical Interest:

  • Software systems engineering and coding (Python, Java, C, C++).
  • Web development (Jascript, html).
  • System data structures and algorithms (sorting, linked lists, arrays, trees).
  • Database (SQL).
  • Debugging tools.
  • Atlassian Tools (Jira/Confluence).
  • Gitlab/Git Command Line.

Qualifications

  • Pursuit of BS or MS in a STEM related degree field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • **Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance NOTE:  Federal law requires U.S. citizenship to obtain a clearance.
  • Basic understanding of C++ and/or Linux.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
