THE ROLE:
As a Product Manager in the Client and Graphics Product Management team, your influence will be broad within AMD, with our partners, customers, and industries that rely on CPU solutions for their computing needs. You will work closely with other product managers, engineering, program management, product marketing, business development, and sales teams to drive successful outcomes with our customers and partners. You will be the CEO of your product, driving strategic and tactical outcomes through influence and partnership.
THE PERSON:
The successful candidate will be self-driven and passionate about bringing new solutions to market through a complex ecosystem. She/he is a dynamic product manager and leader who has strong experience with semiconductor and PC ecosystem and the capabilities required to maximize the value proposition of the products. This person has successfully developed customer-centric requirements and has worked with cross-functional teams to execute and deliver the roadmap to market. Your ability to work independently in a highly dynamic environment is important, and you will rely upon your excellent communication and presentation skills during customer engagements. Technical skills, experience and understanding of the business are required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work closely with internal architecture, engineering teams to enable the requirements that will deliver the best experience on AMD CPUs .
  • Use your strong product sense to align the product and platform capabilities with what matters to our customers (the value proposition).
  • Build and drive deep engagements with strategic customers and internal teams to define and document the next-gen AMD requirements.
  • Make decisions based on data and ensure a portfolio view of product decisions
  • Author crisp and compelling product value proposition and positioning and influence marketing.
  • Create collateral and proof points to support positioning and narrative.
  • Present and evangelize your product and strategy internally and externally.
  • Make changes and adjust to competitive and market forces as necessary with urgency.
  • Take care of the operational details working with stakeholders to ensure EOL, costs, business metrics, inventory positions etc. are aligned to strategy of product and interplay with overall portfolio and take action to drive changes if needed

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Significant experience in product management, particularly in CPU or PC related products through early planning to execution
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor technologies and value chain
  • Knowledge of the hardware and software ecosystem and successful management of technical products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence/lead in cross-functional teams.
  • Market research and competitive analysis tools experience
  • Experience developing strong collateral and presenting to executives
  • Strong business analytics experience, comfortable working with data

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred
