Bumperactive.com Custom Stickers + Tees is hiring (2) experienced, hard-working automatic press operator for our Screen printing department!

Bumperactive is a Progressive and Union (Communications Workers of America Local #6132) print shop in North Austin. While we are a full-service retail printer for anyone who needs top-quality custom stickers, tees, signs and other promotional products, our largest business area focuses on building and administering print-on-demand online storefronts for a wide range of clients, from political campaigns, community organizations and podcasts.

Summary

As a Screen Printing Press Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively operating our M&R Automatic 14 and 8 color press as well as a Workhorse Sabre Automatic 8 color press to produce high-volume and high-quality screen printed products. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that our clients' orders are completed accurately and on time.

Core Responsibilities:

Press Operation: Set up and operate the M&R and Workhorse Press, ensuring it is properly registered and maintained for consistent, high-quality prints.

Color Matching: Perform color adjustments and ensure accurate color matching according to customer specifications.

Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that prints meet our quality standards, making adjustments as needed to maintain consistent results.

Troubleshooting: Identify and address any technical issues or malfunctions with the press, minimizing downtime and disruptions.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the press to keep it in excellent working condition, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.

Production Scheduling: Staying on pace with the day's schedule to meet deadlines and maintain high output.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Training: Assist in training and mentoring junior press operators, sharing your expertise and knowledge.

Competencies & Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience operating an Automatic Press in a high-volume screen printing environment. 350-500pcs an hour.

Technical Skills: Proficient in press setup, color matching, and troubleshooting.

Detail-Oriented: Ability to pay close attention to detail to maintain print quality and consistency.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address technical issues quickly and efficiently.

Time Management: Effective time management and organizational skills to meet production deadlines.
