POSITION SUMMARY: As a Video Designer you will play a supporting role by working alongside creative teams to brainstorm and produce a variety of educational video series including but not limited to creating title openers, on-screen graphics, and other visual elements before putting designs to motion.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with all video segment members
  • Create detailed design themes for educational video series
  • Create openers, illustrations, and other visuals to be used in short, educational videos
  • Produce and exporting motion graphics files to allow other production personnel to insert into digital content
  • Organize motion graphics files on the network to be accessible team members and quality control
  • Meet deadlines
  • Stay current in the world of graphic design and motion graphics as well as video production
  • Assist Video Design Supervisor with special tasks or projects as needed
  • Fulfill acting roles as interest, workloads, casting fit, and opportunity align

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficient in graphic design or motion graphics
  • Able to learn new computer skills
  • Experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud Apps
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well with others in a creative environment
  • Self-motivated in developing creative ideas and meeting deadlines
  • Basic understanding of BJU Press educational philosophy
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in graphic design or motion graphics
