Responsible for absorbing and executing day-to-day graphic production, digital asset management, and content coordination to protect and promote the positive public image of Goodland Regional Medical Center (GRMC) and Rawlins County Health Center (RCHC). Based physically at RCHC, this position serves as a vital "boots on the ground" marketing presence to anchor regional strategy locally, engage the RCHC community, and drive patient acquisition. This role streamlines tactical creative requests, ensuring high-frequency, consistent communication that positions the facilities as the premier medical homes of the region. All duties are executed in close collaboration with the broader marketing team to maintain system-wide strategic alignment.

Essential Functions:

GRAPHIC DESIGN & DIGITAL CREATIVE (Primary Focus):

  • Serves as the primary internal graphic designer, creating high-quality visual assets for social media, web, print, brochures, flyers, newsletters, and facility promotions.
  • Streamlines the creation of internal and external marketing collateral to reduce turnaround times for departments (e.g., HR recruiting materials, clinical service line developments, patient education).
  • Insources graphic production workflows to maintain high brand standards across both networks, eliminating the need for external agency contracting.
  • Manages the organizational library of digital assets, photography, and design templates.
  • Serves as the primary photographer and videographer for medical center events, provider headshots, and storytelling features.

DIGITAL MEDIA & CONTENT MANAGEMENT:

  • Executes content scheduling, monitoring, and engagement workflows across all official social media channels.
  • Handles routine website maintenance, updates, and content optimization.
  • Coordinates and edits multimedia projects, including broadcast scripts, PowerPoint presentations, and digital educational materials.

LOCAL MARKETING & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT (RCHC Focus):

  • Acts as the visible, local face of marketing at RCHC, fostering strong relationships with local media outlets, civic organizations, and community groups.
  • Coordinates, sets up, and represents RCHC at community benefit activities, health fairs, festivals, educational exhibits, and local schools.
  • Ensures rapid deployment of localized marketing tactics to capture and retain market share within the RCHC service area.

FOUNDATION & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:

  • Supports the marketing goals of the Goodland Medical Foundation, Rawlins County Health Center Foundation, and the GRMC Auxillary by providing high-quality creative assets for donor campaigns and capital initiatives.
  • Attends foundation and community education meetings as requested to provide marketing updates.
  • Tracks hours and allocations accurately across facilities in accordance with the network Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cost reporting and reimbursement.

SAFETY & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:

  • Performs duties as the RCHC Public Information Officer (PIO) during facility emergencies, attaining appropriate incident command qualifications and continuing education within the first two years.
  • Maintains ongoing professional growth through seminars, workshops, and affiliations to remain highly proficient in modern design, healthcare marketing trends, and digital strategies.
  • Performs other related operational duties as assigned to support the marketing department.

Competencies:

  • Advanced Graphic Design & Typographic Skills: Highly proficient in translating clinical concepts into engaging consumer visuals.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored for rural healthcare audiences.
  • Technical Agility: Advanced comfort adapting to content management systems, social media schedulers, and design interfaces.
  • Organization & Independence: Self-motivated with the ability to manage a high volume of tactical design requests across dual facilities under minimal supervision.
  • Interpersonal Excellence: Strong collaborative skills to interface effectively with internal clinical staff, executives, foundation donors, and the general public.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Associate of Applied Science in Computer Graphics Technology, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or parallel areas of emphasis required; Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or Business Communications preferred.

Minimum Experience: 2–3 years of dedicated graphic design and content creation experience preferred (will train the right candidate possessing a strong portfolio). Experience within a healthcare setting is a major plus.

Technical Portfolio: Proven proficiency with graphic software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Canva), digital cameras, and content management platforms is highly preferred.

Travel Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. Able to travel regionally between facilities and community events as needed.
