Graphic Technical Coordinator
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Duration: Full-time Permanent
Job Summary
Manage the Customer Graphical Technical Center (GTC) processes and Graphic Technician personnel to deliver high-quality products and services that drive customer success, while supporting site performance targets. This entry-level role offers growth potential for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve zero workplace injuries by maintaining a clean, organized environment using Lean manufacturing and 5S techniques; comply with all safety requirements, including monthly training and PPE usage.
Train Graphic Technicians on ink management procedures and on-press performance.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to support customer press schedules and meet Days on Hand targets.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for ink weigh-up, dispensing, and blending to meet customer color and QC standards/specifications.
Perform color matching and maintain customer formulation files.
Create and execute plans to process press returns and obsolete materials, with proper record-keeping.
Ensure Graphic Technicians adhere to customer waste procedures.
Coordinate scheduling and assignments for GTC personnel to maintain ink-to-press service, while controlling overtime costs.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot customer press/ink-related issues.
Document and communicate technical issues to Technical Service Representatives.
Maintain an Action Register for customer/ink room process improvements.
Prepare accurate manufacturing and QC records, including production schedules, ink adjustments, press downtime, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Fill in for Graphic Technician duties as needed.
Manage Graphic Technician performance records, approve time cards, and recommend promotions/compensation increases.
Required Skills and Certifications
Experience toning inks
Flexo printing experience
Color formulation and matching experience
Experience working with water-based inks
Supervisory Skills
Microsoft Office proficient or better
Experience and Qualifications
2+ to 5 years of relevant experience
