About SpeedPro Commercial Graphics
At SpeedPro Commercial Graphics, we create visual experiences that change the world. How? We help businesses bring ideas to life by creating graphics that makes life more fun and marketing more impactful. We give our clients the power to truly visually engage. We're the ones behind that fleet of trucks you see everywhere, and we're also the ones that design, produce, and install the wall and floor murals you see at businesses, universities, and sports arenas across our area. We specialize in large-format printing, signage and graphics that give our customers the wow-factor their business needed.
At SpeedPro Commercial Graphics, we act with energy, passion, and professionalism. We're backed by a culture of teamwork, creativity, $value, speed and detail. We're looking for exceptional talent to join our fast growing team.
We are B2B only, partnering with well-known organizations and the most recognizable brands throughout our region. You'll interact with professional high-level decision-makers and help deliver high-visibility work that people actually see in the real world.
Core Values (How We Work)
We expect every team member to embody and promote our core values:
Teamwork - we grow and win as a team.
Creativity - we find and solve problems with ideas.
$Value - we consistently search for and deliver value to clients and our business
Timeliness (Speed) - we move with urgency and value our time.
Attention to Detail - we get it right the first time
The Role
The Production Manager owns daily shop-floor execution for our wide-format graphics production team. This role drives the schedule, assigns work, protects quality, keeps machines and materials moving, and makes sure finished work is ready for pickup, delivery, or install.
This is a physical, working team manager role - not an office position. The Production Manager reports to the General Manager and works laterally with the Operations Coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities
Production Flow and Execution
  • Own the daily production schedule and shop-floor priorities.
  • Personally perform printing, laminating, cutting, finishing, etc.
  • Direct/delegate work clearly to production team members and provide accountability.
  • Keep printing, laminating, cutting, finishing, staging, and install prep moving in the right sequence.
  • Balance due dates, batching, setup time, quality, and throughput.
  • Elevate, prioritize and optomize machine uptime over discrete (individual order) manufacturing.
  • Identify bottlenecks early and escalate clearly when work is blocked.

Team Leadership and Accountability
  • Manage the production team and set clear expectations for pace, quality, cleanliness, safety, and follow-through.
  • Coach production team members in daily execution and production standards.
  • Hold the team accountable respectfully and consistently.
  • Build a production floor where people know what to work on at the right time and what "done right" means.
  • Work closely with Operations so priorities, blockers, and handoffs stay clear.

Equipment, Materials, and Shop Standards
  • Own production area layout, material storage, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain standards for machine care, routine maintenance, and readiness.
  • Lead work across HP roll printers, EFI flatbed, laminator, cutter/router/plotter, and finishing areas.
  • Make sure materials, tools, and jobs are staged logically and efficiently.
  • Reduce rework, wasted motion, missed details, and avoidable rushes.

Quality and Fulfillment
  • Protect quality on banners, signs, vehicle graphics, wall graphics, vinyl graphics, and other custom work.
  • Confirm completed work is labeled, staged, checked, and ready for its next step.
  • Drive consistent production standards in a fast-paced, deadline-driven systematized workflow.
  • Support install readiness by making sure jobs leave production complete and organized with thought given to supporting smooth and fast installation.
  • Build and document repeatable production habits to support continued growth.

Ideal Candidates Will Also Possess
  • Calm, direct leadership with strong follow-through.
  • A process-driven mindset and comfort enforcing standards.
  • Strong communication with both production and operations team members.
  • Practical problem-solving under deadline pressure.
  • High standards for quality, organization, safety, and finished work.
  • Comfort leading from the floor instead of managing from behind a desk.

Other Skills or Backgrounds of Interest
  • Wide-format graphics production experience.
  • Lean, 5S, or process improvement experience or exposure.
  • Experience with signage, vinyl graphics, laminating, cutting/routing, finishing, or install preparation.
  • Experience in small-batch manufacturing, fabrication, print production, or other custom production environments in lieu of direct graphics industry experience.

Working at SpeedPro
This is visible, hands-on work in a fast-moving custom production environment. The right person will like variety, deadlines, clear standards, real accountability, and the satisfaction of seeing finished graphics leave the shop and show up on vehicles, walls, signs, events, and buildings across the region.
Requirements
  • Small team leadership and management experience.
  • Experience in high-volume, high-setup custom manufacturing experience. Direct sign, graphics, or print production is helpful but not required.
  • Experience operating production machinery that is software set-up and controlled.
  • Ability to work on your feet most of the day in a physical production environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Reliable daily attendance and schedule discipline.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime or adjust schedule when production deadlines require it.

Compensation: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
