Insomniac's West Coast Clubs Division is focused on creating a first class experience for our Headliners. Our expanding roster of club partners includes some of the world's top venues, delivering performances from globally renowned DJs backed by top-notch sound and visuals. The diverse calendar of events celebrates the electronic dance music community and culture, offering an endless range of experiences. Insomniac's West Coast Clubs Division includes venues world renowned venues; Exchange LA, Academy LA, Avalon, Day Trip in the Park, Time Nightclub, Nova SD, and Bloom.
THE ROLE
Insomniac Clubs is looking for a highly motivated and proactive Junior Graphic Designer with impeccable attention to detail and a strong design sense to join our design team. In this role, you will assist in developing designs, resizing existing materials, and addressing challenges associated with designing for multiple formats. The ideal candidate will have a passion for growing and refining their craft. This position reports to the Graphic Design Manager and Art Director. This is an on-site position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide design support for internal and external digital and print media across all Insomniac Clubs projects and brands
  • Collaborate with the design team to make necessary modifications and revisions to existing designs based on feedback and requirements
  • Organize and maintain design files and follow naming conventions, to ensure proper version control and accessibility for the team.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to brainstorm and develop creative graphic communications that meet project objectives
  • Keep current with the latest industry standards and trends in software, hardware, and design to create visually engaging and innovative graphic
  • Has experience in photo retouching, photo manipulation, and composition
  • Foundational understanding of different art concepts
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Welcomes constructive feedback and be at ease with hands-on training
  • Other design requirements as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years experience in the Graphic Design field
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or similar field
  • Basic knowledge of animation, particularly in After Effects, is preferred but not required
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Intermediate hierarchy, layout, and typography skills
  • Knowledge of color theory and balance is a must
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Experience in reformatting and resizing digital and print files to multiple dimensions and file format
  • Knowledge of EDM and Insomniac artists/ brands is preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments in dynamic work locations
  • Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines and work events
