Primary Purpose: The Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator is a strategic partner on the Communications team, responsible for researching, developing, implementing and refining marketing strategies and events that drive engagement, increase enrollment and recruitment, and position CFBISD as a top destination for students and educators. The coordinator is also lead on branding and graphic design, designing and producing complex graphic projects for digital and print collateral. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing and graphic design, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for storytelling. This position requires a proactive, adaptable self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field.
• Experience working in K-12 education or mission-driven organizations preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
1. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and Microsoft Office Suite
2. Strong writing skills to create compelling copy for marketing materials; knowledge of Associated Press Style preferred.
3. Ability to create high-quality and appealing visuals that align with the district's image and marketing goals.
4. Ability to translate brand standards into accessible tools for non-designers.
5. Effective project management skills to plan and execute marketing campaigns and district events, meet deadlines, and manage resources efficiently.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to research, plan, execute and evaluate projects, events and campaigns.
8. Bilingual (English and Spanish or other languages) is preferred.
9. Collaborative and relationship driven.
10. Organized, adaptable, and deadline oriented.
11. Passion for visual storytelling, event planning and public education.
Experience:
• At least three years of progressive experience in developing and implementing marketing campaigns, managing brand presence, effectively communicating messaging to target audiences and event planning.
• Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating brand-aligned design, campaign work, digital content, and KPI-driven results.
• Experience in planning, organizing and executing successful events.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
? Develop and implement marketing and branding strategies and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute marketing plans to promote CFBISD's programs, initiatives and events effectively.
? Develop, draft, and edit creative, engaging advertising and promotional campaigns across digital and print platforms.
? Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts, and make data-driven recommendations for future strategies.
? Proficient in writing copy for a variety of publications (news, feature, script, business, web, social media, and public relations materials) and editing content.
? Plan, create, and evaluate graphic and video content for social media, in collaboration with the Digital Media Coordinator and Social Media Specialist.
? Produce original digital artwork and graphic layouts for campus and district initiatives and events.
? Lead the coordination and production/purchasing of marketing materials (including letters, key messages, FAQs, brochures, digital presentations, fliers and other design collateral) in a manner that markets the district's achievements, opportunities and initiatives.
? Lead the planning and implementation of special events and programs.
? Support and maintain the district's brand standards across all communications.
? Work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively as part of a larger team.
? Demonstrate confidentiality while working with matters related to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
? Perform all other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Occasional districtwide and statewide travel.
