The Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Credit Analyst is responsible for performing the underwriting steps associated with commercial real estate credits. This role will be required to prepare credit memorandums and other tasks associated with supporting Commercial Relationship Managers as well as assist in preparing commercial loan packages for approval and documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Utilize spreading software to spread financial information from financial statements or tax returns.
  • Review and analyze business financial statements and individual tax returns to prepare credit requests, displaying proficiency in reviewing and comprehending Leases, Appraisals, Environmental reports, construction budgets, Plan and Cost reviews, etc.
  • Prepare credit memos and financial ratio reports to be submitted to the appropriate lending authority, including Senior Loan Committee, for approval; approve loans within credit authority; identify risks and mitigants of the credit and support the presentation of credit package.
  • Provide support to Commercial Lending Teams and the Relationship Manager as needed.
  • Work closely with the Loan Documentation team to ensure all due diligence is acceptable prior to loan closings.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of CRE underwriting experience, including a strong background of reviewing personal and business financial statements.
  • A background in finance and accounting which provides a basis for commercial loan underwriting and analysis, including the review and interpretation of client financial statements and tax returns, review and understanding of data in both personal and business bureaus is required.
  • Must have a good understanding of applying Loan Policy to the underwriting document with strong analytical skills.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
  • Must be an independent thinker in collaboration with other professionals and be able to structure a loan request while maintaining the credit quality dictated by bank policy to "Find a Way" to grant a loan.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Must have the ability to travel within WSFS footprint as needed.

Salary Range:
$48,416.00 - $79,541.75
Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate's experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
